Easterseals President/CEO Sklenar Selected as Top Nonprofit CEO 

New Castle, DE –The Delaware Business Times has selected Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore President/CEO, Kenan Sklenar, as the 2025 Large Nonprofit CEO of the Year. The awards program, now in its fifth year, honors the efforts of Delaware’s top-ranking business leaders in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. 

“Ken’s deep dedication to the disability community, from the Easterseals program participants, to their families and caregivers, is evident in everything he does,” Penny Saridakis, Easterseals Board Chair, said. “The attention to detail that he devotes to program and service delivery demonstrates that Ken serves with excellence and love.” 

In the last 12 years as the nonprofit’s leader, Sklenar has led the way as Easterseals launched new services, including a Memory Care Program for individuals with dementia, attendant services for medically fragile children, and Agency With Choice for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. In addition, Easterseals has opened two new locations in the region. Under his tenure, Easterseals helped raise more than $4.5 million to expand and modernize Camp Fairlee, the organization’s camp for children and adults with disabilities. Sklenar and his staff have also worked to ensure that Easterseals maintains top accreditation marks with the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehab Facilities, placing it in the top 3% of rehabilitation facilities in the world.
